BEACHY HAIR SPRAY
I love using salt spray in the summer because it gives my hair some texture. My hair is naturally wavy to curly, so it tends to get frizzy in the summer. I use this DIY natural summer beauty recipes salt spray to hold the waves in place.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/3 cup boiling water
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 2 teaspoons almond oil
- 4 drops grapefruit essential oil
- 2 ounce spray bottle
DIRECTIONS
Stir salt into boiling water. Let cool. Pour into spray bottle then add almond oil and grapefruit essential oil. Shake well. Spray on wet or dry hair to add texture.
TRAVEL BUDDY ROLL ON
This roll on is a must have when traveling. Use it to boost confidence, aid in digestion support, and as a headache relief. You can also use it as a massage oil for stiff joints or muscles.
INGREDIENTS
- 5 drops Head Soothing blend
- 1 drop Anise Star
- 10 ml almond oil
- Roller bottle
DIRECTIONS
Add the essential oils to the roller bottle. Fill with almond oil.
SUMMER DAY DIFFUSER BLEND
If you're looking for a fun, light scent for your diffuser, try this summer day diffuser blend. You can make this for one time or make a master blend like I did.

INGREDIENTS
- Head Soothing blend
- Palmarose
- Anise Star
- Grapefruit
DIRECTIONS
Add one drop of each oil to a diffuser. You can also add up to 25 drops of each to a small bottle to create a master blend. Use 1-3 drops in a diffuser.
HIBISCUS FROZEN FACIAL
If you've spent too much time in the sun, soothe your skin with this frozen facial. This is easy to make, and you can keep them in the freezer until you need them.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera
- 6 drops grapefruit essential oil
- 3 drops palmarosa essential oil
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon dried hibiscus flowers
- Ice cube tray
DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Stir well for at least 30 seconds. Pour into ice cube trays and place in the freezer. After being in the sun, rub the ice cube on your skin or wrap in a towel and rub on your skin. Hibiscus may stain your clothes or a towel.
HIBISCUS SKIN REPAIR BATH SALTS
Soak in this bath salt recipe to help your skin heal after spending time in the sun. This DIY natural summer beauty recipe is great to use after spending time at the pool, even if you didn't get a burn.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup Epsom salts
- 1 tablespoon almond oil
- 1 tablespoon almond oil
- 5 drops Head Soothing blend
- 5 drops grapefruit essential oil
- 8 ounce container
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into an 8-ounce container. I like the short 8-ounce mason jars for bath salts.
AFTER SUN BLEND
Mix this up before you spend time in the sun. Then spray on your skin to soothe and repair. Store this DIY natural summer beauty recipe in the fridge for instant cooling relief.

- 20 drops Head Soothing blend
- 10 drops palmarosa
- 1/4 cup distilled water
- 2 ounce spray bottle
