My daughter is a mosquito magnet. We've barely seen any mosquitoes this year, but she still manages to come in at night covered in bites.
Like her mother, she itches and scratches until she has welts that drive her crazy. I've had a few get infected. Believe me when I say that an infected mosquito bite is not fun!
This bumps, boo boos, and bug bite relief roller bottle is easy to make. It's even easier to use: just roll on the affected area.
I even made a cute printable label for you to use. I have one with the blend information if you use my blend, or you can print a blank one to label your roller bottle with.
This roller blend is also good for bumps and boo boos. It has essential oils that promote healing and reduce inflammation so you and your kids can get quick relief.
This is a must have for moms to keep their their purses. I have one for on the go and one to use at home.
Bug Bite Relief Roller Bottle
Carrier Oil
I usually use fractionated coconut oil for my roller bottles. FCO is clear, odorless, and inexpensive.
I also like how most brands have a pump. This makes filling a small roller bottle a breeze without using a funnel.
Simply Earth also sells fractionated coconut oil. You can get fractionated coconut oil, Bumps and Boo Boos essential oil blend, plus a few roller bottles and get free shipping on orders over $29.
You can also use sweet almond oil or just about any carrier oil except solid coconut oil.
Neem oil would be an excellent addition to this roller bottle for bug bites since it has some analgesic properties. I would dilute it with another oil and use 25 to 50 percent neem oil.
You can learn more about the different types of carrier oils and their benefits in my book, Carrier Oils.
Best Essential Oils for Bug Bites
I was going to create my own blend for bug bites, but then I got the Bumps and Boo Boos Simply Earth blend in my June 2020 Essential Oil Recipe Box.
It has most of the oils that I was planning to use, so I used that.
If you're new to essential oils or looking to expand your collection, the recipe box is a great way to do it. For $39 a month, you get four full sized oils and supplies to make 6 different recipes.
If you use my code EVERYTHINGPRETTYFREE when you order, you'll get a free bonus box with more supplies to make your recipes plus a $40 gift card to use on a future purchase!
You can also order single oils (or blends). They have great prices, and you get free shipping at $29.
