I've made body sprays before, but they had cyclomethicone or alcohol in them. I will use alcohol in sprays when needed, but it really does bug my asthma.

I liked this body spray without alcohol recipe because it's easy to make. You only need distilled water, a carrier oil, and essential oils.

This body spray also doubles as a deodorizer for shoes. You can also spray it in the air to deodorize the air.

No Stink Body Spray Without Alcohol Recipe (With Essential Oils)

I made this recipe to freshen up in the summer. If you want to layer your scents, you can also make a homemade body powder recipe.

Just use the same essential oils and wear the powder first. Then use the spray as needed to freshen up.

Essential Oils

This body spray without alcohol recipe has both Defender essential oil blend and Blood Orange. Defender is similar to a Thieves oil blend. It's often used for cleaning or to diffuse.

It has oils in it that are said to kill bacteria and reduce odors, and you can use it in this body spray to freshen up.

My daughter says it smells like pumpkin spice with lemon. I think it has a light and clean scent.

You'll also add Blood Orange essential oil. Blood Orange is often used in aromatherapy because it's uplifting and stimulating. It also naturally disinfects and cleans, so it's perfect for a no stink body spray recipe.

I like the oils for a no stink deodorizing body spray recipe. However, if you want a fun scent with essential oils, try one of these essential oil blends that smell like candy. Just use 8 drops of oils total for the recipe.

Carrier Oil

You have to dilute essential oils before you apply them to your skin. Oils and water won't mix, so you have to dilute them in a carrier oil.

For this recipe, we are using fractionated coconut oil. Fractionated coconut oil is a liquid at room temperature, so it works well in a body spray.

It's colorless and odorless. It won't affect the scent of the body spray, and it won't stain clothing. It could leave spots on fabric, so always test and try not to get it on your clothing.

No Stink Body Spray Ingredients

1/2 cup distilled water
1 tablespoon fractionated coconut oil
4 drops Defender essential oil blend
4 drops Blood Orange essential oil

Tools and Supplies

2 ounce spray bottle
Funnel

Directions

Step #1

Add the fractionated coconut oil to the bottle. Add essential oils and shake to mix.

Step #2

Add the distilled water. Shake well.

Step #3

Shake well before each use. Spray on your body, shoes, or on in the air to deodorize.
