Now that Christmas is here, it's time to retire my beloved pumpkin spice essential oil blend and fall blends for Christmas essential oil blends.
I use them in a diffuser, and I make a room spray to scent the room quick in case we get any company. If you use a pine scent, this can also double as a a tree air freshener.
Since these are essential oils, please pay close attention to who will be in the room. Some oils aren't safe to use around dogs or cats. Some oils are only for use for kids 2 or older, and some aren't safe for kids under 10.
Be sure to research these oils and blends before you use them in a diffuser or in a spray.

I like to scent my home naturally with essential oils because they don't bother my allergies. You can check out my fun essential oil blends that smell like candy for more ideas for fun blends to make.
You can mix these right in a diffuser, but many of them have too many drops for a standard sized diffuser. I have small 5 ml glass bottles that I use to mix them in.
Then you can add a few drops of these Christmas essential oil blends in a diffuser or use them to make a Christmas room spray recipe.
I like creating my own blends because I have a lot of essential oils. However, you can also buy ready made blends to use.
For this Christmas room spray recipe, I used the Winter Spice essential oil blend from Simply Earth. I also really like their Candy Cane essential oil blend.

Christmas Room Spray Recipe Ingredients
You can use one of the above Christmas essential oil blends to make a Christmas room spray. Use this to add a festive holiday scent to any room in your home.
There are several recipes floating around for room sprays. Some use witch hazel or rubbing alcohol, but I like to use vodka instead.
Oil and water don't mix, so you can't just use water and oil. However, vodka helps disperse the Christmas essential oil blends through the water.
Rubbing alcohol and witch hazel both help disperse the oils, but witch hazel doesn't work as well as alcohol does.
Rubbing alcohol can cause skin irritation. The fumes can bother your lungs, so I do not use it in this Christmas room spray recipe.
I use vodka. Look for a high proof vodka. I normally wouldn't use such a good vodka as the one shown in the photo, but this recipe only uses 1 ounce of vodka.
For the water, I recommend using distilled water. The alcohol will kill germs, so you don't have to worry about that.
However, tap water may smell like chlorine and alter the scent of this Christmas spray recipe. It can also have minerals that can cause spots on fabrics or surfaces.

I made a label for mine so I knew what was in it. You can download the label here. I sized it to fit a 2 ounce bottle. The label is generic, so you can use any of the Christmas essential oil blends.
