I'm Cari, and I'm so glad that you are here! When my oldest was little, I had my own website selling handmade soaps, lotions, shampoos, and other bath products. I loved making and selling, but I had to put it on hold when I had two more kids. I had taken up paper crafts, so I started my Etsy shop selling cards and now decoupaged and altered items.
I still love making bath products, and I love writing and blogging, so here we are! Since I don't sell my bath products any more, I don't like keeping a bunch of random ingredients on hand. That's why I try really hard to focus on recipes that are easy to make with simple ingredients.
I also blog at Koti Beth Designs and Homesteading in Ohio.
My husband and I, along with our three kids, live on a small farm in Ohio. I have a chihuahua, my husband has a Rottweiler, and we have two cats who sleep all day and ignore us unless their food dish is empty.

We have an orchard with 300 fruit trees and a large garden. We spend spring planning our garden, summer gardening, fall canning, and winter eating our home canned foods.
I've been a homeschool mom for seven years. Two of my kids have autism and one is neurotypical, so we feel that learning at home is better for us. My oldest is in college, so I just have two kids at home to homeschool now.
I've written for United Way, Angie's List, Purina, What to Expect, Valpak, and Everyday Health, mostly using a pseudonym.
